Many people ask about this, so here's the story: In February 2014, the production team for the Food Network's number-one show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, was at Silver Star Cafe with host Guy Fieri filming our Cafe for a feature! We're still not quite sure how they found us, but are so glad they did! They are such good people, and so supportive of small family-owned restaurants. We told them we weren't a diner, drive-in or dive, but they chose to feature us as a small, Mom-and-Pop, neighborhood hidden-gem sort of place. The episode,"Cross Country Comfort Food," is part of the program's 19th season, premiering May, 2014. It still plays on the Food Network regularly. You can also watch it on Amazon and I-Tunes! We were also featured on DDD "Small Town Sensations," and the Food Network named our Vegetarian Mushroom Stroganoff one of the 18 best vegetarian dishes in the country! In October, 2019, The Food Network returned to film us for an episode of "Triple D Nation." The episode, "A Little Lighter" premiered January 10, 2020! We're so grateful for their ongoing support!
